Patient Assessment
"Careful assessment of individual patient anatomy can help identify the optimal therapeutic strategy. Skin dimpling seen with cellulite represents tethering by fibrous septa, which may stand to improve from treatments that directly target these septae. Diffuse rippling, however, represents increased adiposity and/or increased skin laxity that should not be mischaracterized as cellulite. These patients may instead benefit from lipolytic and skin tightening modalities."
