NASHA Fillers: A Consensus on Persistence and Use in Special Patient Populations It remains unclear how the similarities and differences of various non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA) fillers translate to actual variations in outcome, since research has been confounded by differences in clinical trial design. In this publication, Gary Monheit, MD, and Michael A. C. Kane, MD, explore these issues, describing pertinent research, and discussing the potential value of these products in several special populations including persons of color, those with photodamaged skin, HIV-positive individuals with facial lipoatrophy, and men.
